A physician group comprised of University of Vermont faculty who are devoted to excellence in clinical care, research and academic training, the University Cardiology Associates of Fletcher Allen Health Care offer unique and effective skills for diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiac disease.

We are committed not only to treating individual patients, but also to advancing knowledge and innovation in our fields. Our research efforts encompass clinical, translational, and mechanistic research trials - efforts designed to improve patient care. Our academic and teaching responsibilities are dedicated to helping the next generation of cardiac physicians become national leaders and continue to enhance the efficiency of cardiovascular medicine. 

The physicians of University Cardiology Associates of Fletcher Allen Health Care have extensive experience in all of the major subspecialties within cardiology and see more than 12,000 ambulatory and hospitalized patients each year. We conduct a variety of diagnostic procedures that utilize advanced technology.  They include echocardiograms, nuclear stress tests and cardiac catheterizations in addition to newer modalities such as Cardiac MRI and CT angiography.  We perform approximately 1,500 coronary interventions and implant over 1,000 pacemakers and defibrillators every year.  Our research and clinical facilities are state-of-the-art. 

University Cardiology Associates are committed to our patients and our professional communities. Physicians in our practice group conduct clinics in outlying hospitals, screen disadvantaged populations, and serve on a variety of local, national, and international organizations. We provide regular continuing medical education opportunities to physicians in Northern New York and Vermont.  As physicians and scientists, we bring intellectual curiosity, scientific rigor, and fundamental concern to all of our patients, students and the communities we serve.
